Neu Demogyptica: Yes. ASAP. How much? Don't know much.

Roleplay: Lets see if we can keep them from getting it. We need no trade clauses with Lego (already happened) and GS (Do we have one?)

Vox: Probably not interested in chivalry as they don't have horses. Lets see if we can get something out of them - but include a no trade clause.

Gathering Storm: Probably, for 200 gold. Don't know exactly when though - try to get a no-trade agreement.

Legoland: Yes, according to the already signed agreement.

I say sell it to Roleplay, I've often heard GodKing and Togas talk about how they consider Knights useless and believe it better to build combos of Medeival Infantry/Pikemen over a single Knight.

Besides we have Riders and if we suck out their money we can upgrade with it while they can't.

If the war does not start immediatey after we get Chivalry, RP will know we are up to something if we dont sell it to them.

I would like to keep it out of RP's hands...
Use stall tactics.. or insist on an outrageous amount

In theory,
The Lego deal is in our favour heaps...we got an excellent deal.
The GS deal is for 200g and we got Fuedalism and resold for gold...great deal.
We can claim ND paid a bucketload of cash
So we can insist RP must pay a tonne of cash.

Say 300g-400g
They wont have it, so we will wait until they do.
Promise to send them Chivalry if they urgently need it.

If we do sell it, we must get ND ok first.
They need to be aware of the forces they can expect.


But honestly...I say no to RP
We will drain them some money, but I do not trust Lego or GS to start lending money to them.

Lego will fund the war for RP, and RP can rush and upgrade as much as they want.


Here is a suggestion...
Tell Lego, we believe it is ND who is giving them grief on their island.
Tell them we are willing to enter into the following arrangement.

Lego Gifts us 300g
GoW gifts Lego 10gpt for 20 turns (200g)

If ND ever attacks lego, we will attack ND...but the gpt is stopped.

so if ND attack now... total cost is 300g
If Lego can negotiate with ND for their withdrawl...
total cost has only been 100g to lego.

Benefit to Lego...100g aint much if nothing happens
Benefit to GoW... we get 300g now...but realistically 100g for free.

We should start negotiations with the teams for Chivalry.

ND looks like it will pay some up front, the rest GPT.

We need to suck the money out of Roleplay. Maybe we can delay their receiving of Chivalry for several turns. Also, before we trade to RP, we need to get ND's permission. This might not be granted, so we need a good way to refuse it.

GS gets it for 200 gold. Currently we don't have any no-trade clauses for it. We need to see if they would allow one to be put on. Maybe we can reduce the price to 150 gold or something for a no trade clause to be added (15 turns is best, as this would be approx. when Lego's NTA ends).

This is very urgent now.

I think GF was going to contact ND regarding whether we can trust GS or not.
This must happen.

I think we must consider gifting wines to GS to ensure they dont resell it.

If RP gets their hands on it, Lego will lend them the money they need to build knights.

we are having a chat with ND tommorrow (our weekly chat), and one with GS early next week...

I think we'll have Chiv before our GS chat, so if Unortho could mail GS to see if they'll add a no trade clause on to the deal.

Either that, or we just trade it to Roleplay. I suggest that if we get a no trade clause from GS for at least 15 turns then we don't trade to RP.

I was intending to address this today.

I need to know the following:

Have we already made a deal for Chiv with RP? Is it in writing? What turn is the attack?

If we have a deal already, I would prefer to simply go through with it. There is an alternative if it is not in writting, it is likely that only GF talked to Togas about it. We simply claim he did not inform us of it before his departure...Im sure a PM to him would silence any objections to that.

Next, if we are not attacking within a few turns (1 or 2) of acquiring Chiv we may as well just tell them we are going to attack if we refuse to sell it. This is another reason just to sell it and use the gold. Surprise is more valuable IMO than selling them Chiv and eating their gold reserves.

No idea if we have a deal with RP or not.

GF may of discussed it with them.

The problem with denying RP gold will result in the same problem GS had with Vox... I am pretty sure Lego will step in and finance RP for rushing multiple Knights.

We need to speak to ND and ask their opinion ASAP.
This should be an alliance situation.

We could tell RP that ND paid us to not sell it to RP for 5 turns. ND is afraid of an RP attack, and needed 5 turns to manage their defense.
Tell RP we see no reason not to do it, as surely RP has no intentions to attack ND anyway... we saw it as money for nothing.

Tell RP that we told ND of our alliance, and they wont be attacking, as they know they cant defend against us as well.


Uno... Surprise is everything, I agree.

Another option.. do not sell it straight away.
Tell everyone, we are still negotiating a price with 1-2 teams, and are delaying the sale, so we cant be undersold. Lego wont stand for this..so we could sell it to them safely as we have a 20 turn no-resell clause anyway.
GS probably wont mind, if they want it earlier, perhaps they will agree to a no-resell clause ?
ND can have it...but they could posibly wait..they only need it for 1 round before the war to upgrade everything ?

Oooh ...

Here is a novel idea I just thought up.

We have to trade with Lego & GS when we get Chiv.
We are concerned about RP guessing that something is up when we dont sell it to them.

Check with ND... we can delay research for 1-2 turns.

Instead of having to find reasons for not selling Chiv to RP for 5-6 turns, we only have to delay them for 1-2 rounds. And thats easy.
1. we want more gold.
2. Ooops did we forget to accept the deal on our side .. sorry about that.
