Ok, for those who work . . . . what do you do on your lunch break (what do you eat, what do you do to fool around, etc.)?

I don't normally take a lunch, but when I do I generally go out with a buisness buddy... Then, we hang out and chain smoke for about 10 minutes, than I come back to my desk and continue to waste time on 'poly

Well today I had a chicken salad with lashings of mayonnaise, courtesy of Atkins.

I also walked to a supermarket with a colleague who needed to drop off a couple of films.

Then I just sat around and talked to whoever looked interesting or bored.

Normally, I go to the deli across the street or order the $5 Chinese take out though sometimes I go out with co-workers. If I was smart I'd brown bag lunch and save $100 per month.

I don't believe in lunch breaks. I'll just eat a sandwitch or two while at my computer. In school, I tend to eat lunch before or after all my classes (thus not really a break).

I buy a sandwich and a drink from the company cafeteria and go and sit in a nearby park and read for an hour while I eat. Or I might wander into town and do some shopping, but there's bugger all there.

Even if it's raining I'll go out for a 30 minute walk or something. I really feel the need to get some fresh air and stretch my legs after four hours sitting at my desk each morning.

Careful you don't start getting chubby. Drive-thru, subs and spending all say in front of a computer would tend to make one a little doughy.

I go to the Uni's cantine, where food is always as tasteless.
I sometimes eat a prepared salad, that I buy in the supermarket.

When I was working for real, I always ate 1-2 sandwiches, or Chinese food.

When I work my receptionist job on the weekend evenings, my dinner literally consists of a 21oz Coke and 4 doughnuts.

I also have 1 doughnut every morning with my coffee.

But don't worry about me, I still have a very fast metabolism, I get about 45 mins of walking in every day, I do work out some, and I get "other forms" of workout that expend a lot of energy.

60% of Wendy's profits actually come from Tim Hortons, a Canadian doughnut/coffee/soup store chain.

There are also far more Wendy's than Tim Hortons in the world. Only a handful of Tim Hortons in the US, rest in Canada. (East Coast Canada has them literally every few blocks )

Few years ago when I was working in construction site for a summer, I went to this cafeteria with other workers, and we always ate heavy lunch. Lots of pasta, or something else. Maybe lots of potatos and a stake. But lots of it. But it was heavy work, so we needed heavy lunch. I can't imagine doing that work without eating a good heavy meal in between. I once ate a sandwich and I was so beat.. but next summer when I was working in explosion firm, it wasn't heavy work, just office work so I ate only sandwich and coca cola with it. But I was sitting so much, that it was ok and I felt good.

At school I usually ate something little, but as food was crap, I sometimes went near by cafeteria to enjoy a nice sandwich, soup or just plain coffee with a donut. Usually the soup though. But I always eat something.
