	Game will not start Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations: Deluxe Edition

Most times when I try to run the game, either from autoplay or via the shortcut, the game reduces to a button on the taskbar and will not open. Eventually I have to ctrl+alt+del to get out. About one time in ten, if that, the game will run OK and seems stable. When I check running programs, I see, in addition to Rise, something called ~f1d055. Is this right? Whatever, I tried installing the patch and the problem is the same. Anyone any ideas?

Win ME. Pentium 4 1500 MHz. 256 MB RAM. DirectX 9.0a. Verto Ge4 Ti4200 (64 MB).

I have the same problem but not as often. If I reboot the game almost always starts up the first time. Once I exit RON and do something else and then later open RON again I have exactly the same problem as you.

I dont know anything else other than to restart. And I only have a P4 866, 128 RAM. I get 7 fps at best.
