Suffering from ads?

If the dollar ever comes back, going there during our winter might make sense. The plane ride would be a ***** though. But something to consider.

Sixteen hours from LA? Yeah, that's the difference living down here at the arse-end of the world. We're used to travelling massive distances to get anywhere. Sydney-London? Twenty four hours. A snap. Well, in business class it is, anyway.

I'd be lucky not to be in the cargo compartment with all the travelling animals.

And I did rupture both of my eardrums on my last flight back from Florida. *ouch*

Business class is the only way to travel the distances we have to travel. Everyone says it's a waste of money - better spent once you get where you're going - but, personally, I reckon life's too short to spend twenty fours in a sardine can very adjacent to the B.O. King.

You guys just have no travel imagination do you. Break up the flight! A couple of nights in L.A., Hawaii, or Bora Bora, whatever. Costs you nothing flights wise.

Then you get to Australia and as soon as the immigration guy asks you a question or the quarantine guy takes away any food you are carrying to be burned, it all starts to make sense.

16 hours is nothing. I've slept for longer than that on a flight back from Europe.

The funny thing is that my boss is a member of a country club just north of us called "Royal Melbourne".
It's not the original, but it's a very nice course.

Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

Mmmmm. Sounds like we'd better start building an Augusta National.

The real Royal Melbourne's an amazing course. I played it a couple of times quite a few years ago - the East and West courses separately, obviously, not the composite layout. The greens were so hard and fast, they were, literally, shiny. Surprisingly wide fairways, which is just as well, with all the ti-tree around the place.

they have standards , so you may struggle. I played junior pennant at royal melbourne, I did ok as I tend to be pretty straight and hit plenty of greens in regulation, the bigger hitters who sprayed it a little had problems.
