What would you thiink yourr favorite unit is in Rise of Nations?And why?

Mines is probably the air craft carrier,Because in a decennt naval game it really comes in handy and is a common thing to see in most fleets.

no personal favorites, really; i do like the rocket artillery, though, in the info age. awfully effective at knocking down city hitpoints without resorting to a nuke.

submarines on a naval map.

do not underestimate a pack of 8 in the way of your transports.

on a land-only map, i'd say the elightenmnet artillery (is it called the bombard? the cannon? i forget). thats usually when the major fighting starts

However, I'm a big fan of the Enlightenment era unit set, and especially the Musketeer. Once you get those guys you feel like you finally have a good military and can safely go about attacking and defending.

I mostly agree with Ares but to be specific its the Fighter Bomber that rocks not the aircrat carrier. I usually play land maps but I'll even put some in a lake if its near the fighting.
