That show is the best thing VH1 has put out in years! It might be their best thing ever .

I love that show... it's so fun watching people mock stuff that people thought was cool about the 80s

Skeletor was the man. I find it odd I liked the evil characters in shows back then. But even back then I felt he-man was kind of gay. Not that I really knew what gay was, but he just wasn't a hero I rooted for.

Same thing with the smurfs. The smurfs were very gay. So I alwasy rooted for the bad guy and that cat. Now I can't remember the names.

And when it came to star wars I rooted for Darth Vader, because I felt Luke was kind of whiney. Although I liked Han Solo.

They had to make Evil STUPID in order to lessen its coolness, but even that didn't really work....

Oh, and He-Man sure LOOKED gay, at least to young impressionable minds. But he most likely wasn't.

Suffering from ads?

Nah, but He-Man was cool because he was the master of the universe, and just changing one letter gives us uniperse, which means sleepass in finnish, so it was naturally hilarious, but definitely cool.

Especially he-man toys were awesome, and those castles..

All in all, the much despised 80's was actually very cool decade, especially if you grew up (born in 1980) that time.

http://www.80s.com/ChildrenOfTheEighties/
and find out if you're the real stuff!

Some of these are mostly US oriented but I check these:

You owned a *real* Rubik's cube.
You know how to use a rotary phone.
You know how (or wanted to be able) to Moonwalk! (Note, it's wanted to, not able for me)
Atari, IntelliVision, TelStar and Coleco were the ultimate gaming systems to own.
Leg warmers and headbands alá Pat Benatar once looked really cool to you.
Your hair defied gravity.
You are still baffled by the "day glo" clothing trend.

some of the rest are close, but not enough.

How about you?

I did have a rubik's cube. Never could solve the darn thing. I just took it apart

we had a rotary phone for a while.

I tried moonwalking, it wasn't my specialty . Also tried break dancing- not as easy as it looks.

we had the Atari (2600 I think it was). The game haunted house was pretty cool. And of course games like Pitfall and chicken.

Leg Warmers never looked cool. But I was and still am a Pat Benatar fan.

Never used gunk in my hair, but many, many did.

I forgot all about day glo until I just watched the tv show today. I never had any of that stuff, but I remember it.

I forget which Atari I had, but it was awesome...

all were great... except for that ET game where you always get stuck in that stupid pit!

ET! Everyone loved ET for the Atari!

I really enjoy that show on VH1. Hal Sparks is really funny when he's making the comments like:

(watching the Hungry like the Wolf video)

"I watch that show with the sound off..............................................
...................................................
......................................................
......................................................
......................................................
....................................................and my PANTS off!!!"

Hilarious!

And He-Man wasn't gay! That sarcastic dude on the show can shove it! He-Man ruled!....well, actually Skeletor ruled but we won't go into that.

The 2600 was for punks. The 5200 was the best system Atari ever made. The graphics were awesome, looked just like the arcade, and it had the coolest controller.
