I'm out of here, coming back on Sunday, if I don't drown or die from alcohol poisoning! Wish me luck! 
Packed my stuff, car is ready, trunk is full of beer and booze, lots of good cd's, lots of buddies, decks and lots of records so live music, BBQ food, towel for swimming and sauna bathing, positive attitude and porn magazine.
Woohoo here I come!
And hope you have fun too.

Damn, buddies are not ready yet! Olaf is correct, though that pole thingie is Swedish. Granted, that many Finlands Swedish do it here too, so it's not strange to us. We mostly drink, and that's it. There are several traditions, like if you don't have a woman that day, then you don't get a woman the whole summer, or was it even the whole year? Crazy!
And there's food we need to eat, and go to sauna all the time and swim a lot. Drunk of course, it's traditional to drown. Then there are magics you can do, they are for different stuff, like one magic you do and then you will see your future wife in your dreams that night. Old stuff, we don't do it that much. Youngesters that is. We focus on the most important thing, and that is to drink as much as possible.
Then the highlight is to set a HUGE bonfire. People compete who has the biggest fire. It's cool if you're by the lake, and you can see tens of huge fires. This is the number one day to get married in here too. It is also the biggest day when babies are made. There are lots of so called midsummer babies, but it's not a bad thing.
Too bad that we're going to have a cold weather and maybe even rain, but we'll see.

Ecthelion, but it's our tradition, it doesn't apply to you, so you still have chances  .
Sadly enough this is also the day of multi super stabbings, which is our national sport. It's stupid, all these stupid kids carry knives and are too drunk, so you don't have to be a wizard to figure out the results.
But it's not that bad. Darwinism I guess.
Usually these days are blessed with good weather, not this year though, and it's very beautiful time. This is one of the days I'd recommend you visit here, but you must have a Finnish friend, you can't spend it on hotel and cities are empty too. I bet it's a great once in a lifetime experience for foreigners. It's magical times! So if you have a friend here and want to visit, come these days and go to summer cabin and you'll get to see and experience it, I recommend it to everyone. It's about the only thing I recommend in here . It is actually one day that we are happy and talk to other people too. Making friends with us is otherwise like getting into MIT to dance ballet. Now that's pretty tough.
Ok buddies are set too, so I'm out of here. Be safe, drink too much, eat sausages and watch the bonfire, it's hot.
