I peeped him at a gas station on City Line Ave and i did a little double take, walking past him and then backing up and being like yo whats up... i then asked him real quick if he quit rapping and he started waving me away being like chill out chill out... aint that some jackass ****? a little question like that.

he had a nice ass benz though... some silver ****...

anyone had similiar experiences with celebrities?

It's certainly good to hear the nice stories, it can kind of restore some of your faith in humanity. I remember seeing something about this man who keeled over with a heart attack and a bystander resuscitated him and just left without any praise...he was recognised as Duncan Goodhew (a famous swimmer). From the accounts of the charity work he has done and things like this, he sounds a genuinely decent guy.

Think about him from his perspective. Allen Iverson, having the fame he does, probably had this happen all the time. Now, even though you individually weren't harrasing him, probably being stopped everywhere you go would get to feel like harrasment. I am sure he gets quite tired of being stopped everywhere he goes...

Actually, if you had that happen to you multiple times every time you went outside your house, you'd probably get a little sick of it, too.

From his perspective, he doesn't know if you're whacked, if you're this slobbering fanboy who's going to pester him with questions until you finally lose your grip on the windshield of that Benz when he reaches the Canadian border , or if you're just a regular joe asking one quick question.

Tony Gwynn, who was always San Diego's most accessible sports celebrity, mentioned that he basically couldn't go anywhere without people coming up to him, and that he routinely had people come up to him when he was out with his wife and kids to have a picnic or something, and people would spot him on his motorcycle then try to follow him to his house.

Celebrities walk a line between needing publicity to keep their name and face recognition up, and being harassed even when they take a leak.

Then again, there's always John Lennon and Theresa Saldana.
