I was in quick battle and send my 5th armor to bombard the enemy war structures and suddenly it's name changed to something like 5th expodetionary or something.

Q: I was wondering are there any more cases where
RON changes the names of my ctrl units and to what?
i'd love to get an answer for that thank you.

If your group is comprised of mostly infantry, cavalry, artillery, or armor, it will be called that.
If it is a general mix, it will be called an Army.
If that Army leaves your home continent, it will become an Expeditionary force.
If you have a control group of non-combat units, they will be Support. (Not sure about militia)

Cavalry is another to add to your list. It turns into armour when you upgrade.

Actually, I usually have a "2nd Calvary" throughout the game. When Industrial Age comes and the mounted soldiers become tanks it remains "2nd Calvary" unless you recreate the control group (ie press ctrl+2 again), in which case it will change to "2nd Armor." If you don't recreate the group your tanks will still be called "2nd Calvary."

Why do so many people have trouble spelling "cavalry"? I've heard it mispronounced just as often.
