Big Free, if you have set the poll to run for 72 hours, you should let it run for 72 hours. It's not really a good practice to end it earlier, as people may choose to think about the issue and vote on the 71st hour.

Not that it makes a difference. 12-9 is better than 10-9, in fact I am one of the 2 voting after the poll was "closed" by you.

In addition, it may give the "impression" that you decide to close the votes when you are ahead. Obviously, I don't think you would do that.

Yes, I mistakenly set the poll to run for 72 hours. I was surpised to see it still running at 60+ hours. At the time I closed the poll, I had no idea how long I had actually set it to run for. It wasn't until I saw when the poll closed itself that I saw how long I did actually set it to run for. But, I did intend to only have it run for 48 hours, as was stipulated by the Constituion.

I think an amendment is in order here for this issue. Perhaps stating that all amendment polls shall be open for a period of 72 hours, period.
