He's the Happy Dude responsible for moving all of non-settler and non-worker units around. So, yes, we need one even though we will be trying for the "Let's give peace a chance" approach. There will be times when another nation forces our hand.

Here are some descriptions. We may slightly modify some of them, but this will help you to get the genreal idea.



Minister of Defense

The Minister of Defense advises on the movement and engagement of combat and scouting units.

The Minister of Defense advises on the upgrading of units.




Minister of the Interior

The Minister of the Interior advises on the movement and usage of all workers and settlers.

The Minister of the Interior advises on the Science and Luxury Sliders, the treasury, and the direction of science research.

The Minister of the Interior advises on the management of all city citizens.

The Minister of the Interior may draw boundaries and regions within the nation and appoint governors over those regions.

The Minister of the Interior advises on the management of all city build queues, including the rushing of projects.

The Minister of the Interior may create or alter any system for naming all cities, provinces, geographic features, and so forth.




Minister of Foreign Affairs

The Minister of Foreign Affairs gives lead to diplomatic affairs with other nations. He may appoint ambassadors to assist him.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs advises on the establishment of Embassies.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs advises on Espionage affairs.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs advises on the engagements of Treaties with other nations.




Minister of Information

The Minister of Information is responsible for the timely availability of game-related information to the People.

Second, I could be a minister of information, but I think that my stile is wait too much ... well, un-sunshine, kind of extremely biased propagandas and the like... Don´t know If I am the right person to do this...
Or I could be the ambassdor to teh monty pyton team....

Minister of the Interior = Minister of Building Happiness


Minister of Foreign Affairs = Minister of Speading Happiness


Minister of Information = Minister of Happy Thoughts


Any other thoughts about names? Or thoughts about potential positions?

I believe that everyone should make up their own happy, sunshiney title and then we should try to carve out our own nitch/job on the team. Whoever demonstrates his ability to best take on whatever role should have it.

But I definately feel that we should stay away from "Ministers" and "War" and "Defense" and other non-sunny things. We need Gurus, and Guys, and Bringers and other happy titles.

The 'Rules Maker' makes up rules as the game goes along to suit his needs; he aslo changes them to suit the situation.

The 'Top Dog' gives orders and directs all play, any who oppose are considered 'unhappy' peeps and are taken to the Dog House!

Ok, so this isn't going very well. Maybe we need a .... dare I say it? .... Constitution? Just need to think of something "in theme" with this team. I'll start up a new thread shortly.

Most of the stuff on the F11 screen and some anaylisis of the power graphs, the culture graphs and the overall score. Check BFM's Area X thread in the ISDG for a lot of examples. He does an excellent job there.

My suggestion is that we allow the Directors to start their jobs NOW, but we hold reelections for them every 20 turns, starting on turn 40.

So, essentially, they get an extra turn to do their jobs.
