Welcome to Hive Roulette. Each day I will play a game of chance for all of you.....And if you meet certain conditions, then you will get 25 FREE nerve staplings! The rest of you get to play into the next round.
If you are the last person remaining, then you shall win......A LIFETIME SUPPLY OF XENODOUGHNUTS!!!  For the day of SATURDAY UTAH TIME, the roulette game will be....
CARDECHKA OF DEATH 
Everyone shall pick a card, and a color....For example, Ace, Black. Then, at the end of the day, I shall pull up Solitare and click the deck of cards. WHICHEVER CARD IS FURTHEST from the card the computer picks will be ELIMINATED!
The risk of eliminition, for the capitalist pigdogs whom are salivating over the grand prize, is LOW. However, in the future I may introduce more risky games....

How do you determine which is furthest?
Anyway: Five, Red

By counting.  Also, Ace is counted to be at the end, not the beginning. So, if :
Person A guesses 5, Red
Person B guesses Queen, Black,
Person C guesses 6, Black
Person D guesses 2, Red
and the card came up to be 9 RED, then......
Person A would pass because 5RED is 4 *away* from 9RED.
Person B would pass because Queen, black is *3* away from 9RED plus 1 for it being the opposite colour.
Person C would pass because 6 black is *three* away from 9RED plus 1 for it being the opposite colour.
Person D, however, would fail because it is the furthest.
Another example:
Person A guesses ACE, BLACK
Person B guesses Queen, RED
Person C guesses 5, BLACK
Person D guesses 10, BLACK
Person C guesses 5, RED
And the answer is Queen, RED.....
Person A would pass, because it is *two* away from QueenRED plus 1 for it being opposite color.
Person B would pass because he got it right on!
Person C, however, would fail because he was 7 away, plus one for being a different colour.
Person D would pass because it is *two* away from QueenRED plus one for being a different colour.
Person C would bairly pass because he is *seven* away from QueenRed. Note however that because it is the same color, +1 is NOT added to 7.
