Just to inform you from the start, the reason for the openning of this thread is the ban on Cable and satellite porn in Israel, created by a coalition of feminists and the religious. The most annoying thing is that the feminists are the leading force.

Mind you, access to pr0n via the internet, sale of electronic media carrying porn, porn journals, THESE ARE ALL ALLOWED (afaik ).

So lately, the cable companies want to make some more money, and they want to remove the ban on porn.

A nieche has already been found, allowing the broadcast of Playboy Channel, as the Supreme Court has found it not to be Pornography ( ).

So, what do you think of the situation, and what do you think of porn, generally?

Don't get me wrong, *I* couldn't care less, since I have no digital cable, but I do have broadband Internet. But the notion of this law disgusts me, and sends me to ... darker times.

Maybe the notion of the law itself shows how sissy those people are, but in the end who cares..

I mean seriously, porno on TV is pretty boring, In my opinion not too many people watch that crap anyway... I for one would rather go to sleep, and get some rest instead of staying up just to watch some sissy soft porno.

I do think that hardcore, kinky/extreme porno should be banned (I mean: you're still be allowed to do it, whatever you like man! But what I don't like, is that that kind of stuff is being sold for profit)

On the other hand, it provides 'employment' of course... but I still think it would be better to see those people start working in more useful areas

If feminists or religious people dont like porn, they dont have to watch it. They shouldnt force their opinions on others and deny them freedom of expression. As long as people consent to making, viewing and being part of porn, I dont see a problem.
