The 50 best web sites according to Time Magazine Suffering from ads?

I must admite I thought the list was just a big boring compolation of the biggest commercial sites on the web. Lot's of ebays, Amazons, yahoos, googles, and Hotmails. Those big commercial sites aren't even worth listing since everyone already knows about them so why did Time waste our time (pun intended) by printing them?

Stil there were a few interesting new tidbits. Gawker.com, careerjournal.com, iexplore.com, & dailycandy.com were all new to me and looked interesting. What do you folks think of this list? was there any sites listed that didn't deserve to be listed or some sites left off who should have gotten top billing? What are your favorite web sites and why?

I just finished watching Berlusconi and Born Free, which was maybe one of the most hilarious videos I've ever seen. I love this stuff, I have to watch them all now.

Give me a break...Slashdot consistently posts old stories as news, they post the same story two or three times, half of the time the submission comments are grossly incorrect or misrepresentitive, and they selectively post stories with pro-Open Source slants (which is hardly surprising, seeing as it's wholly owned by the Open Source Developer's Network)...
