Neato.It looks like an endtable or a dehumdifier and the monitor looks like a fence.
Those front "drawers' are super handy.
2.5 ghz is pretty frickin fast.

Big question:How much $$$$?

Which pics were you looking at?

The G5 tower pics are widely regarded to be fakes, but the screens from Panther are kosher.

I wonder how much the upgrade cost will be? I love OS X, but the cost to jump from 10.1 to 10.2 was a little ridiculous. They better be a little more reasonable on the upgrade from Jaguar to Panther.

I was looking at a French language Apple site that showed something similiar to a standard "box" but shorter and wider with "posts" at the corners.It had front access doors to the internal components.
The monitor was a flat screen between 2 "posts"

It looked like an official Apple site to me

Since I've seen the official pictures of Panther at Apple's site and they show exactly the same thing as the unofficial ones linked to above (although they are using a different theme - yes Panther has themes) your sales rep is talking out his ass.

And I've corresponded with people who have the pre-release of Panther and they say the pictures are kosher. I mean one of them shows Expose.

sure , whatever , at least the salesrep had a book full of the new comp and the specs , + diagrams of the inside , ....

since he has been working with us for about 9 years , and he has always proven right , ..... dont say he talks from his but , you have no idea what he said , .....

Because you are so obviously talking a load of crap and can't admit you are wrong when the evidence is in plain sight and avaiable to anyone who can look.

Look at the pictures I linked to and then look at the pictures that Apple has actually released of Panther.

Or look at the pictures and then watch the WWDC keynote. Compare them, they are the same.

Or ask people who have the developer preview of Panther what they think. Surprise! They say that's what Panther looks like under one of the optional themes.

Is that enough for you, or are you just going to stick your head in the sand and say it isn't so?
