Which is Hillary? (Time out:0 days after 24-06-2003, 07:17)
Hillary is telling the truth in he book.
Hillar is lying, but she is not behind the cover-ups of the other women.
Hillary is guilty as **** Morris charged.
Hillary likes bannanas, and she is OK in my book even if **** Morris is right.

Most of you have heard about Hillary's touching revelation of the early morning confession by Bill Clinton that his relationship with Monica Lewinsky was a little more than innocent and how hurt Hilary was.

But today on KGO radio (San Francisco) **** Morris, ex Clinton political guru, was asked why he doesn't like Hillary. **** explained that Hillary was behind the private eyes that investigated Bill's women for dirt and was the one who blackmailed them into keeping quiet or who used the dirt on them if they went public. He said that Hillary had done this with 30+ women whose only crime was to have contact with Bill.

When the commentator said that he had seen the Barbara Walters interview and that Hillary seemed surprised by the Monica revelation, he laughed sarcastically.

So, who is lying? **** Morris or Hillary Clinton?

But more, if you believe that Hillary is behind the cover-ups, what does this say to you about the true character of this woman, who undoubtedly will soon be the Democrat presidential nominee?

In my opinion, she makes **** Nixon look like a naive schoolboy.

Why do we care about what anyone says or does about Bill Clinton's private affairs? Alert me should she start lying about something that's actually important. Honestly, I don't care how many threesomes Hillary, Monica, and Bill had or if the video has been downloaded by ninety million dorks.

Seems to me that Morris is a tad bitter, or he's figured out a lucrative niche for himself as Hillary-baiter, sponging off of her publicity for the book.

I wouldn't particularly believe either of them, but I especially wouldn't believe Morris is this altruistic guy who just had to let us all know the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, even if it is a few years after the fact.

well I don't know who this morris guy is.

It has been pointed out that Hillary Clinton admitted in her book to finding out about Bill's affair with Monica Lewinsky and being shocked. Well the day this happenned was the day after there were huge stories in the NY Times and LA times reporting that bill Clinton planned on admitting to the affair. So how can Hillary be shocked? So there is no doubt she was lying about not knowing about the Monica affair before the day she said she found out in her book.

As for the other stuff, well no comment. I have no proof is she is lying.

Watching Morris, I think he has an axe to grind against Hillary, probably for being such a *****.

I don't think he needs to carve out a "lucrative niche" for himself because he's already done that. He's a writer, hired political gun and *ahem* Fox News personality.

Perspective:

Bill Clinton lied about a blowjob from some chick.

George W. Bush's lies led to a full-scale military invasion, resulting in thousands of deaths and earning the US the ill-will of virtually the entire planet.

Yet ...

Flecks of foam appear near the corners of Ned's lips when the word "Clinton" is heard.

Yeah, Clinton would fix the economy by going "Ohhhhh, Monicaaaaaaaaa" while the Enron and dotcom bubbles were in full swing, and he'd **** up Iraq and Afghanistan.

I'm not impressed in the least with George II, but Clinton is highly overrated in a lot of areas by his fans, while scourged excessively by the foam-at-the-mouth Clinton haters.

Do you guys know what the oath is?

or the justice system.

It matters not what he lied about. He could have lied about his name. The important thing is he lied while under oath.

don't get me wrong, what George Bush jr. doing is bad, and worse than Clinton in many ways. But this thread isn't about that.

This thread is about the Clintons and what they did, or didn't do.

It isn't, but the penalties for doing so when caught might...

You might also want to review the oath someone takes when they get sworn in as President.

Sava, Sure he was. He cut a deal with the Federal prosecutors and was later held in contempt by the court hearing the Jones case.

But the issue here is not Bill Clinton who "lied about sex," which most people think is almost justified, but Hillary Clinton. She apparently is both dishonest and extremely ruthless. Do we really want a dishonest and ruthless person as president? The last one that clearly was like that was Richard Nixon. While to many he was a good president, he nearly tore this nation apart with his political corruption which stemmed from his dishonesty and ruthlessness.

no, not really. but on the other hand, bush's clique is both dishonest and ruthless. it seems as if wolfowitz, rumsfeld, and co. exaggerated the "immediate threat" that iraq presented; and to say that karl rove isn't ruthless, particularly in the areas of spinning, maintaining loyalty, targeting political visits and speeches...

The kind of ruthlessness that both Hillary and tricky **** have in common is the kind where one seeks out and destroys one's political enemies. To even begin to compare Hillary and trick **** to Bush is laugable.

Besides, all politicians puff and slant. What is different about Hillary and tricky **** is that they both appear to be calculating liars and ruthless political animals.

If Hillary ever decides to run for office, the first thing she will do is smear her Democrat opposition. Then she will run the dirtiest presidential campaign you can imagine. Finally, if elected, she will end up impeached, just like tricky **** -- for abuse of power.

how has karl rove not done the same thing? what happened to mccain in south carolina? of course, it wasn't really ever traced back to bush...

or how about the tarring of several republicans simply because they didn't feel it was prudent to have a tax cut at this time by airing negative ads against them in their home districts?

how is karl rove not as ruthless when he targets all of bush's speeches and actions based on which demographic os important in an area? how is he not as ruthless when he breathes down the neck of congressional republicans, giving them the same ultimatum bush gave to other nations: either with us or against us?

Bush and Rove certainly are demanding politicians. But the "tarring" of political opponents is not the same as with Nixon and Hillary. The latter two used personal dirt to destroy the political opponent or Bill's girlfriend. Both sought to use Federal Agencies improperly to reward friends and destroy enemies. AFAIK, Bush has not done any thing of the kind.

I would also agree that Bush at times has gone too far in enforcing discipline in Republican ranks. It was just such a move that caused Jeffers to go independent and give control of the Senate to Daschle and his mirthless crew for two years. But, again, what Bush has done with fellow Repulicans pales in comparison to what Nixon and Hillary have done to their "enemies."
