anyone going to early warfare in civ is going to fall behind those whom do not.....unless he is taking their cities....

war costs even more on larger maps where your just tossing sets out...its another reason why we play raging....keeps players honest...

Yeah, early war on large maps will cost you more. And the time involved makes it worse. By the time the forces can reach their target, they may already be obsolete. One reason I like small maps, we don't have to play 2x movement to encourage wars.

yup.. early warfare with any unit is possible on a small map.....though its not much fun to knock someone out in the first 500 years

Yeah, in one game I got a nomad from my second hut, but delayed building a city with it till the top 5 citieswas filled so no one would see I got it and start whining about a restart.
