i dn't build frigates, but if leos upgrades them , then fine.....i usually wait until i have ironclads......

but frigates work well against crap naval units

Increase Your PM Length

and a single frigate can keep them off your shores for quite a while. Especially if you have the war academy or magellens. There ships will not be able to compete.

its a great way to trade yourself to victory, a great investment which depending on your wonders could upgrade as time goes on

yes and no, its profitable for him to prevent you trading without fear. Knocking out your boats at any cost IS cost effective for him if he prevents you from trading BIG DOLLARS.

but your right, he will waste more resources if his navy is outdated

Inflate your Upload Space

once the vet ships are on the board, you must have something relatively close to compete...especially on island worlds.....sinking vans/freight is a great way to deflate someones coffers
