	Trades and Exchanges with GS Suffering from ads?

Zeit of GS contacted me (PM posted in Diplo thread) asking us to contact them about buying their WM. It is bizzare to have individual members of GS contacting us and telling us to talk to other people about some issue. Not sure why Shiber or MSS couldn't write themselves.

GS wants us to "make an offer" to buy their WM. We have no idea what their WM shows.

We have a galley exploring their coast. If we buy their WM we'll have no reason to continue exploring. However, we do have 2 horsemen on that Galley that could be brought home and later upgraded to knights.

I'm no interested in making an offer for this WM as I have no means to judge how valuable it is, and I know that GS will likely take our low offer as an insult.

However, we are close to getting our Lux trade done, so we do need to contact GS to offer them Gems + Silks in exchange for Furs + Incense. We will be able to offer this once the road on the 2nd gems is complete AND the road to the Toledo silks is complete. Neither is ready, both should be ready within 4 turns.

BigFree, get in touch with GS mostly about the pending Lux trade and get it finalized. If they'll describe to us what their WM shows, tell them we'll try to devise a proper price for it. But tell them that there's no rush, we don't need to see their WM right at this moment.

Why don't we just offer to stoop scouting their coast for their WM and see what they say. I wouldn't see that as an insult. It's a genuine offer. Having our Galley, which may or may not have a couple of pikes on it, can cause them grief. They may be in favor of our heading away. If we continue to scotu, we will have the info anyways. lets just ask and see what they say?

BigFree, chat with some UNOFFICIAL GS people to see what they'd think of such an offer. I'd be willing to accept their WM in exchange for us pulling back the Santa Maria. But I get the impression that they are not likely to accept such an offer.

But it doesn't hurt to check anyhow.
