The first plastics were developed in the 19th century - celluloid was used in photography. PVC, and nylon were developed in the 20s. Acrylic and polystyrene in the 30s. Polyethylene in the 40s.

I see no reason to think that space programmes is the key or sole cause of the later development of plastics. I believe they would have been developed as a matter of course through private enterprise or funded university research.

Do you have her number?

Seriously, some women do prefer this life to working. Not that odd.

Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

A few weeks ago I was in the drive thru at Taco Bell, picking up lunch. A guy walked up to my car window and asked for a couple bucks 'cause he was hungry. I said sure, I'll get you a taco or something, what do you want. He then started to explain to me how he didn't want Taco Bell, he was gonna walk down the street and get Chinese food at which point I told him to **** off.

If I had had more time, I might of gone with him to the Chinese place just to see his reaction, because he obviously wasn't hungry, he just wanted cash.
