Game keeps freezing. Increase the size of your Attachments

HELP!

My Civ III with 1.29f patch keeps freezing up. I'm usually good for about 20 turns or so and then it freezes up the whole comp.

Just some details about my comp. I'm running a P4 2Ghz with 256MB DDRAM and an additional 64MB on my video card.

I've cut the audio off. And I have even stopped animating all moves. What's going on here?

Support Apolyton, pre-order Civilization IV

Pirated or genuine copy? Win XP? DX9a installed? Any other problems with the system? Do you have enough virtual memory in use? Are you trying to multitask simultaneously with Civ III?

Original version. Win98. Nothing else running. I guess I'll look into the virtual memory thing. I think I'm running DX8. I'll also check that when I get home.


But this is a pain. I upgraded my comp so I could play this game and now it freezes on me.

Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

Could be a corrupt game. Do you have an other save to try and see what happens?
