	New Member in? Others out? Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

I have contacted Rhothaerill to see if he is interested in joining Vox. He has recently joined the ISDG and SPDG. and PTWDGII. (Team Tabemeno).

He knows his Civ (Theseus gave him a thumbs up for the ISDG). He is also a decent guy. If he says yes - we can vote on it - or just record you approval or dissent here.

Now - as to Kon, argha, and Macy? Any thoughts? Any of you guys out there??

I am on Team Monkey with Kon and can talk to him.

The team would seem to be down to - Witt, Eli, Harry and Beta, Jon, and Diss everynow and then. (Hi Diss!).

One more would be good. Summer being here and all.

Yes, a few new members would not hurt - I myself am leaving for Sweden next Wednesday for just under 3 weeks...but I will be taking my CDs and contact info with me to keep up events in our game and performing my moves in the PBEM game that Beta and I are currently in (Living Large).

Concerning Kon, argha and Macy...Lord knows what they're up to.

Hey Beta, can you send me the save next time around. The screen shots help, but I'm still having trouble catching up.

I'm used to small teams. You should see how small our Muhammed team on Demo game II is . Our private areas is very quiet.

I'm okay with new members though.

And I know what you mean about small teams. It is one of the reasons I like Vox.

Good morning everyone (or at least it's still morning here). Thanks to everyone for inviting me in, and thanks to Beta for the initial invite.

Like Beta said the size of the team was part of my final decision. I'm still new to the democracy games and didn't really realize until a few days ago that the first PTWDG was still open to new members. I was informally invited to join the Roleplay team as well, but they have a large team so I didn't feel like I would be able to contribute as much.

I can't guarantee I'll be especially active right off the bat. I have a busy weekend ahead of me and I'd like to go through some of the old threads in this forum to kind of catch up on what has happened. Beta already told me that we're essentially starting anew, but I'd still like to know the back history. I'm also starting to learn some of the nuances of the democracy games, but in the future I might try to take a more active role as an FA liaison.

Oh, and my email address is rhothaerill@attbi.com But that will change at the start of next month when AT&T becomes Comcast in my area. I'll keep you posted when it changes.

I'd like to stay, but real life has been pretty preoccupating since the end of april (exams, then work@~65 hours/week...) But it is slowing down a little bit, so I'll have a little more free time.

I have been lurking in the private forum since I've stopped to post though... I have followed the discussions, but thought it wasn't always a good idea to add a "me too" post. So I just read. I'm not really good at war, so your ideas were most of the time as good/better than mine...

With my free time coming back to me, I'd like to be implicated in the reconstruction of Vox on Legos Minor.

as for the history, well. How about the short version. We started with an average starting position- nothing too great. We had a joint research agreement with Gathering Storm. We tried to expand on the continent of Bob (or whatever they are calling it now), but were met with resistance. We figured our best shot at winning was to attack Gathering Strom. That didn't work out so well .

Thanks Dissident. I still plan on checking out the specifics though. If I know what the team has already gone through then I can give better opinions.

Quick question from the Vox noob...I read somewhere that Lux Invicta is already out of the game. Is that true?

yes, we didn't hit them early enough. That was what worried me. We were fast approaching the end of the ancient age and into the age of pikeman.

It just took to long to meet the other civs and expand, and to also get map making.

although we could have struck them by ourselves early in the game, but either way they could have used their war chariots on the flat land where their first cities were.

Diss is right on. I would say 12 to 15 turns earlier. Without GoW for all the help they were. And we stick to the mountains where the WC's couldn't get us. And we land on the mountains on the east coast. Now - that would have been interesting.

By all accounts they had little or no military, and Immortals vs spearmen, well we could have made some mileage. sigh...
