	Forwarding of the save to Ministers Suffering from ads?

As the Consuls are advised by the Ministers, It is prudent for their Ministers to have the most up to date Save, as it's "hot" (i.e. as soon as they get it). As I have had to repeatedly ask for the save, and have even forwarded the save to the other Ministers, I think that we should have a change as to how we operate.

It should be Standard Operating Proceedure (SOP) to forward the save to the various Ministers (MoW, MoFA & MoI). I propose the following change with handling of our save:

When the Consuls get the save, the first to update the Savegame Service Thread will also forward the save to the appropriate Ministers. That way, they don't all 3 send the save to the Ministers OR assume that one of the others have already done so.

What say the Consuls and other Ministers?

I know that Trip has asked not to have it auto forwarded.

I apologise that I sometimes forget (read often) to send it to you. However, if you are around (in chat) you get it promptly, yes?

Yes, when asked, but If I at least see it in my e-mail box and have a free moment (if I'm not already in chat) then I could possible get into chat before the save is played.

As for Trip not wanting it, then that's for him and he can say so, but this is something that should be done, no matter who is consul and minister. This is something that should be done until we are finished with the game.

Why not forward the save to whoever wants it? We've all sworn a pledge here, there's no reason it should not extend to "hot" saves. Some people might actually feel like they're a part of the action if they get to see what's going on firsthand.

Good question.

We could have a list for forwarding. However, keep in mind that there are three different people who would have to be maintaining that list for email. It would not be perfect, there would often be people left off of some distribution, and others getting it sometimes who asked that they no longer receive it.

One other concern, time... the Consul playing the turn could forward to a mass list fairly easily, but I don't think we want the Consul to be taking time to update his list before playing a turn, so some people would need to be patient.

The last concern, there were some who had very strong opionions about how to distribute the saves. If they can be satisfied, then I see no other problems.

As NYE correctly pointed out, I've requested not to recieve the save forwarded to me (though BF doesn't seem to realize this ). My inbox has a ton of stuff in it (7 PBEM games + PTWDG + ISDG) in addition to all the "real" mail I get. I should get more than one account, but I have everything linking to each other, and it would be a pain to do that.
