one more note - the jaguar warriros are regular. Is it normal the barbs to be regular? I remember the conscripts came from the huts but the roaming barbarians?

Don't take it too serious. Ghengis just loves to ***** and whine about his starting location. He accepts 100% grassland as so-so, if they are all bonus grasslands, it's halfway good, and all else is horrible.

Yes, 100% bonus grassland and 50% Cattle resource. That is an average start postition.
