	Our Change to a Republic Inflate your Upload Space

The Vigo Accord has been confirmed. The nation will now change hands, giving more power to the Lords.

In the mean time, things will be somewhat disrupted in Spain as the new laws settle in and the people become accustomed to ... and accept this new government.

One of the primary things we need to be mindful of is that there will be no additional production next turn. All of our projects were put on hold for 1 turn. However, our food production WILL continue, just not at the efficient levels of our Monarchy. All food tiles that produced more than 2 will produce 1 less!

Growth for Leon, Salamanca, and Pamplona will be affected, perhaps negatively. We need to be watchful for this and adjust our plans next turn.

We also will need to decide if our research should start again. Once we get the next save I will post that we have received it, forward it to all who are interested, and we will meet in chat 1-2 hours later to play it together.

There is much to study and discuss, however I believe this change to Republic will improve our nation and I believe that it will invite more team participation. I welcome your help running the team and hope that The House of Lords will become involved.

I am in the process of overhauling our forum. I am detopping old threads that are not needed, or threads that no longer apply to our new government.

We will replace these threads with new government threads as necessary.

One thing that NEEDS to happen is for our Lords to assemble into an organized House of Lords, and for them to elect a Lord Chamberlain who will run the house and serve as the 2nd most powerful individual in Spain.

The House of Cardinals should create an administrative thread listing all of the Cardinals and any rulings that are made by the House.

I will create a King's Thread to deal with my official duties.

All of the old threads that were detopped are still around via links in our Team Forum Directory.
