Can somebody describe enormous Hardware requirement of the game?

I wouldn't say enormous, you just need an up-to-date system.
The specs from the box are:
-128 Mb of RAM
-500 MHz processor
-Win XP, 2000, 98, or ME
-800 MB free space
-16MB 3D card
-Audio
-56k+ modem for multiplayer

However, I'd go with at least 256 MB ram, 1ghz processor, and 64 MB video card.

Check riseofnations.com and the help forum to see if your video card will work with the game...

Mine was three years old and wasnt even close to those. I had to but about another $100 bucks a parts so Ron would work.

I have a 450 PII and it seems to work fine. I just rented the game to see if it would work and so far it does. I only played for 10 min since I don't have time to play so I don't know what will happen when the big battles start happening if the game will slow down.

Have to return game now so I will wait till price comes down before I buy it or get a new computer.

I have:

P4 1.7ghz
384 RDRAM
32mb graphics card (can't remember exactly, some nvidia type)

And the frame rate was pathetic.
upgraded the video card considerably, to a fairly cheap 128mb 9200Radeon and ram to 768, but haven't bothered to try, maybe it would work now.

So, check your video card against the list. That seems to be the biggest hangup with the game. Even if yours isn't listed as having a problem, thats no guarantee. I'm waiting on a patch that will fix the problems, probably will be waiting for a long time. Maybe your system will work better. Its really a roll of the dice for this game, it either works perfectly or not at all.

1.1 Ghz
256 Ram
64mb Gfx Card (Radeon 7800, iirc)

It runs RoN quite well. Then again, it's kind of a weird comp, 'cause it won't run NwN, but it runs Splinter Cell perfectly. Splinter Cell has higher reqs..

RoN runs great for me.

trickey: check the raedon drivers. NWN has some serious issues with them, but the latest seem to work.
