I hereby announce that Señor Libre is consecrated to cardinal. From now he will be Cardinal Libre instead of Señor Libre.

The Cardinals that will have a seat in the House of Cardinals are:

• Cardinal Aidun (yes I am Pope, but for House of Cardinals matters I call myself a Cardinal, and you may do that too).

I have taken the post as Cardinal. As soon as the Curia is finished [ooc]the chat is back up[/ooc], I shall be officially inaugurated, and shall take the title of Pope Calixtus I.

As of now, however, I call all Cardinals to the Vatican for the Council of Castile, in which we shall discuss these most unsettling attacks on our country by both China and Arabia.

Furthermore, I have officially declared the war on China and on Arabia (pschaw) a crusade.

From now on, Spain's troops carry with them the Papal Banner, and the Paladins of the Church may accompany the army as aides to the Marshal and as generals.

I will officially bless our troops, and bestow on them titles befitting soldiers of God.

Also, I hereby appoint Polaris Winterius Archbishop of Spain and Bishop of Persia.

As I and a detachment of Swiss Guards must be departing for Egypt in order to further our cause there for the next two weeks, I hereby appoint Polaris Winterius Acting Pontiff.

He should concentrate on boosting morale for the war and baptizing more members of foreign countries.

I know that he shall do his work well, being the efficient and very pious man that he is.

If God allows Spain to fall before I return, he is ordered to find a new seat for the Vatican abroad. Wherever it is established, I shall join the House of Cardinals upon my return.

As interim Pope of the Holy Church, I hereby declare that all good catholic Spaniards must, to show their support in the crusade against the evil heathens, wear a knightly avatar, or a christian signature, being recomended that good christians do wear both. It is also comendable that every spaniard do contact the civilian and military leaderships about at least one thing that they think that could be improved in our kingdom, be it in the administratory or military fields, being a comendable ammount at least one of such observations per citizen per turn. This is not a rule but more of an incentive, and members who contribute actively are to be recomended by the authorities to My Person, so that they can be congratulated and awarded a medal , as a sign of Papal Favour over that person.
