4. Upon invading they realized they don't have the advantage they thought they had prior to crossing the border, and have decided to pull back. Perhaps GCA has a stronger force in the region than we had been lead to believe?
4b. Perhaps something (GCA propaganda, something we said, just plain old fashioned paranoi...justified in this case) has put the fear of 'Poly back into them, and they have pulled back out of fear for their flank.
5. They plan to follow up the in game offer of peace with out of the game demands (such as an end to the CFC war, or handing over of key cities)
6. They are just trying to keep us off balance (counting on GCA telling us they offered peace) to give us pause about invading their unguarded rear.
We really have no way of knowing and any guess is as good as another at this point. In any case, all we can do is keep preparing for a defensive war against a GA enhanced stack of immortals that may come. If they really end up making peace with GCA over the next few turns and going home, then I think we have to assume that there is a very large chance that they do plan to come our way. They aren't going home to build granaries in their GA, and they couldn't possibly get a better chance to hit GCA than now, so if they go home it almost has to mean they intend to come our way.

I tend to agree with Togas, but if they do accept a "white peace" and turn around and go home without so much as a 2nd battle, then we have to assume they are coming our way.
Also if it was a ruse, wouldn't it be better to let us think the war is still raging and then cross our border out of the blue?
