One thing I forgot to mention in this thread is I think Savage is a super troll.

I have trouble believing someone could be that extreme a conservative.

But I do think much of his show is an act- he is more extreme to get more ratings. He stepped over the line and paid the price.

Plus he went to Berkely. He has to be a liberal by law.

Rush, O'reilly, Savage, they all play the same game... blaming everything on liberals. It's just a constant ad hominem game. O"Reilly is simplyu a rude blowhard, but he varies along the ideological field depending on the issue. Scarbourough is a bit like Buchanan,: he is more boring than anything. Hannity is the most annoying of the cable conservatives ( i consider "savage" somehting else, an out and out biggot), but he is more of an annoyance than a threat to anything or anyone.

I like Savage, even though he can be really rude and arrogant, I still agree with most of his view points:

The only conservative I find offensive is Sava

I never watched his show, but I listen to his radio show. They tooken of the air here a while ago, but he is back starting yesterday. His defense on the show last night was that it was prank caller from a competing station and that he knew this when he made the comment, and that it was meant as a joke. He had a lot of gay callers last night, and they all told him that being fired for saying that was absurd and that everyone who knows him knows that he is a shock jock and should expect such things...

oh, please. if you conservatives are going to think we moderates and liberals all hate you, there's not much we can do to change that, but believe me, we don't hate all conservatives.
of all the conservative pundits i know of, i myself only detest coulter and savage; i find myself liking george will, krauthammer, and michelle malkin...

we moderates and liberals don't think conservatism is a disease. some of the more extreme moderates believe it's flat-out wrong.
on the other hand, some of your more vitriolic (and actually, some of your not so vitriolic) conservatives tend to believe that liberalism is a deadly disease.

i love how conservatives still have this "besieged" mindset, when the political discourse is currently more in their field right now.
