I think having a Clark as VP for a Dean or Kerry ticket would be most beneficial to the Dems, and if they're lucky, America as a whole.

Sure, Clark is a military/diplomacy specialist, but then again, Cheney is a business specialist, with minimal 'people' skills (on the grand level); everybody's got their strengths and weaknesses.

Plus, with a former NATO Allied Commander involved, most other countries would be a lot more willing to snap into line.

I think Clark'd be a tops choice for VP.

Nah, you're talking about a 20-point spread the GOP enjoys concerning matters of national security. There's simply no candidate, no matter who, is going to topple bush in '04.

If the Iraq clusterf*ck gets worse, it might be a different story.

He's a Washington weenie. Not an inspirational leader. Not a real advocate of some point of view. Plus I'm pretty skeptical and reserved about flags in general..

The Lawyers that controle Washington always play off military men as morons. Clark will have to adress the Iraqi question and if it is a key enough concern then,it could mean alot of support. Consider also that it may change the way that existing and potential enemies view US leadership.
It has been argued that domestic security has not improved and how would that be measured,I would add that due to the patriot act and a emerging police state
I wonder who we are securing ourselves against ...ourselves?If the government does not presently have the power to secure the country then the country is insecurable and we don't need the government to protect us to the extreme that we are property of the State. Hmm...

The thing is that Clark has become just a media pundit. He goes on tv, and whatever he says is considered an "expert" opinion.

A lot of his "expert" opinions during the Iraq war, were actually very stupid. For example, Clarke said that Franks was incompetent. Now matter what you think of the politics of the war, you can't say that he was incompetent. That is just silly.
