Club thread Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

This thread is specifically for discussing clubs. Preferred length, material, manufacturer, and where to aim.

I prefer a 14-inch ceramic club that I made. I generally go for the head.

So what about the rest of you? What are you club preferences?

Can we also discuss spiked clubs, or are we limited to talking about the boring old-fashioned kind?

If you prefer a spiked club you should mention the pattern the spikes are placed in.

My favorite club has spikes arranged in a ****-and-balls pattern, to both maim and humiliate my opponent ("hahaha, you have a ****-and-balls permanently stamped into your face").

But I think that if you hit them hard enough to permanently stamp it into their face they would be permanently beyond the reach of humiliation.

Now that I think about it I think that if I designed a club I would put thin discs of steel on it rather than spikes. That way I wouldn't have to aim the spike.

Would you count a mace as a club? They have many of the same features.

Do they have to be spiked to qualify as maces or do the smooth balls on chains count as well?

No, ball-and-chain types are generally known as "flails"

What lways separated maces from clubs for me was construction. Maces had to pack a significant amount of metal; the head should be solid metal, and it's nice if the haft is, as well.

I would call any wooden "mace" a war club.
