Urgent questions & tasks
FAM: NAP with CFC?
FAM: Could you update the diplo section with current tech trade treaties in effect? Thanks.

Settler 2 is heading for the tile that is 2-2-2-2-2 from Apolyton.

Intel proposal voted down. To be revisited.

Unit movement & actions

Note: All Galley movements have been optimized for maximum sight range (I'm serious here guys ).

G01 Princess is being rushed to the west side of the continent as soon as possible. Our best chance at finding someone is in the WEST, not the north.

G01 I. PoA moves 2-2-1 then uses FORTIFY ALL trick with Jagjef.
G02 II. Expedition moves 7-4-1 then uses FORTIFY ALL trick with Flash.

S03 III. E_T in Mingapulco moves 6 to main army stationing point (MASP) then fortifies.

N04 IV. Togas remains on lookout for barbs.
N05 V. Enamel remains on lookout for barbs.

N07 VII. fortifies in Big Bend.

W06 VI. Hagbart moves 3 to MASP then fortifies.
W10 X. Scourge moves 3 to MASP then fortifies.
W12 XII. Warrior With No Name moves 9 into Big Bend.
W14 XIV. Grog moves 3 to MASP then fortifies.

All other units to remain as they are.

Economy
Apolyton builting a Settler (4) - (Turn 3 of 6 schedualed)
Mingapulco Swords done, start building a NM/Swords (6) - (Turn 1 of 6 scheduled)
Banatopia building a Settler (3) - (Turn 4 of 6 scheduled)
Incensity building a Sword (2) - (Turn 5 of 6 scheduled)
Tripoli Worker built, start building a Barracks (14) - (Turn 1 of 16 schedualed). We will be delaying this for 2 turns, to help speed up the pop increase. This is a Min-Max type situation.
Hispanica building a worker (2) - (Turn 3 of 4 scheduled)
Karina - building walls (17) - (turn 4 of 20 scheduled)
Ralph start building worker (9) - (Turn 2 for 10) - change name to LuxInvicta - How Termporary is this city going to be?? How about we look at getting it gone ASAP??
New City: Name Big Bend unless there is another name selected, Start building Walls (20) - (no schedule yet)

WF:
Apolyton: 4-5-13 at start, NC
Mingapulco: 2-3-10 at start. NC
Bananatopia: 2-8-9 at start, NC
Incensity: 5-7-17 at start. NC
Tripoli: 2 (?? worker built) at start. Changed to 2
Hispanica: 2-11 at start. Change to 6-11 until Worker finished (more trade, should still be 2 turns to build worker)
Karina: 3 at start, NC
LuxInvicta: 1 at start, NC.

Workers:
Worker1: 'Dan': Clearing (3 Turns) Tripoli WF #7.
Worker2: 'Monkee': Clearing (3 turns) Tripoli WF #7.
Worker3: 'panag' Mining (3 turns) at Poly WF #1 (Inc WF #6).
Worker4: 'EVC' Clearing (1 turns) Mingapulco WF #5. Tile is cleared, but he can't move.
Worker5: 'Dejon' Clearing (1 turns) Mingapulco WF #5. Tile is cleared, but he can't move.
Worker6: 'MrWIA' Start Clearing (5) Ming WF #7.
Worker7: 'Rush' Start Clearing (5) Ming WF #7.
Worker8: 'Yo' Clearing (11) Banana WF #17
Worker9: Need a name for him, suggested Arnie Built in Tripoli, move 8-7-4. Will join up with Yo and help to clear next 2 turns.

Diplomacy:
CDG: NAP/Border treaty (to turn 109).
GCA: NAP in effect (to Turn 89).
CFC: NAP expired. FAM negotiating.

Comment, please, many "plans" (especially those marked with '??') are just suggestions or ideas, not decisions already made.

Recommend:

Workers from new cities, and Tripoli. The sooner we get the jungle torn down and improved, the sooner the workers can be rejoined to productive cities and the load is not entirely on Nana and Poly. We do not need walls when we are strong v everyone, and we plan to attack.

Poly and Nana should continue with settlers. After them, maybe 1 or 2 more workers (possibly not needed though) then barracks and units. We approach the hour. We will need far more vets than Ming and Incensity can produce. We do not need more reg 30su's.

Very possible:

We could rush to the island off CFC with the Expedition. Or, we could pause at the corners and make sure we are not leaving the crossing to the other side behind us. Wouldn't it be a kick in the butt to find out that we passed by contact 20 turns previous in our rush to explore a 4 tile island?

Agreed, and fair enough.

Yes, good. With more Workers thrown into the mix (rule of thumb... you can never have too many Workers).

There's a lot of real estate on the west side of our continent for our 3-sight Galleys to spot. I think the likelihood of finding something valuable along the entire west coast is much greater than finding something to our north. Not impossible, but I think we would get enough of a view with rushing towards the west (only 1 tile northwards would be out of view if we go fast instead of slower).

After this current worker from Tripoli, lets put it to build a Barracks, same with Hispanica. What should "Gold City" produce in the future? I can see either Reg Horsemen or a Barracks. I'm happy with all the border sites making workers for now until we get to Republic.

I agree with nye's plans for Apolyton and Bananatopia.

Trip, I am suggesting the Expedition go 7 7 and fort, not that it sprint back up north.

How do you know where the other civs are? You can't know. Neither can I.

Go into the editor. Generate map. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat... You will see all kinds of strange configurations.

My point is that we should not bypass possible crossings in a rush to get to a possible 4 tile island.

Actions:

Ralph renamed LuxInvicta
Settler builds Big Bend

Unit movement & actions:
G01 'PoA' [Cargo S01] moves 2 2 1 then uses FORTIFY ALL trick with Jagjef. Barb horse spotted 2 2 of Dun na Anarchy

S03 named 'E_T' in Mingapulco moves 6 to main army stationing point (MASP) then fortifies

N07 'n7' fortifies in Big Bend.

G02 'Expedition' [cargo S02] moves 7 4 9 then uses FORTIFY ALL trick with Flash. We get as far next turn as if we went as Trip advised and we get a corner. I fully intend to hit as many corners as possible without slowing us down unduly in getting to the whales and the island in the South.

W06 'Hagbart' moves 3 to MASP then fortifies
W10 'Scourge' moves 3 to MASP then fortifies
W12 'Warrior With No' Name moves 9 into Big Bend
W14 'Grog' moves 3 to MASP then fortifies

All other units to remain as they are.

Incensity building a Sword (2) - (Turn 5 of 6 scheduled)

Hispanica building a worker (2) - (Turn 3 of 4 scheduled)
Karina changed to worker (7, 9 to grow) - (turn 4 of 12 needed)
LuxInvicta building worker (9) - (Turn 2 of 10)

Tripoli: 20 at start. Left on 20. This city is 40-50% (2 of 4) corrupt. It needs to grow to be productive for anything.

Demographics Analysis

Colors match in-game colors (estimates).

Values This Turn:

GNP (commerce before corruption):
?, 43+, 40, 37, 28, 26, 25, 21

MFG (shields after waste):
?, 30+, 27, 26, 25, 22, 16, 12

Change From Last Turn:

GNP (commerce before corruption):
+?, +?, +2, +3, +3, +1, +1, -2

MFG (shields after waste):
+?, +?, -1, +3, +2, +1, -5!, -1

Other:

  • CDG grew a population in two cities, which means its likely that their MFG went up a bit in additon to their commerce.
  • Powergraph posted above tells the story of the hour.
Powergraph Analysis

1.00 is the average power of our continent

Last turn:

code:
Apo 1.39 CDG 1.07 GCA 0.82 CFC 0.70
This turn:

code:
Apo 1.51 CDG 0.99 GCA 0.80 CFC 0.70 AVG 0.90 (minus Apolyton)
Thus we are 1.5 times more powerful than the average civ on this continent, and 1.65 times more powerful than the average civ not including us. That's a big big number.

This tells us that either WE gained a whole lot or CDG LOST a whole lot. Since we only built 1 city the impact should not be that great. It's likely that CDG just lost a huge number of units (Immortals in particular).
