Organization? Help yourself to an AD-FREE life

Perhaps we should establish at least some form of organization or roles. At the very least, a prioritized list of who handles the save or something like that so if the save is forwarded to all of us, Sunshine team doesn't receive multiple copies of the save from us with different things done in them

I'm not quite sure what our leader-guy would be called. He could either be the equivalent of Saddam (the Iraqi Government motif), the chief of all ministers of information (the idea being were just a one big Ministry of Information), or just generic tin-pot dictatorship (not necessarily Saddam Hussein).

So the "leader" of the team would be our local tinpot (perhaps nutty) dictator and the rest of us would be the members of the ruling party, of course. Mr. Al-Sahaf is the one who makes ALL of our public statements, though we all have right to post as Mr. Al-Sahaf in the public forum.

So... positions might be... (and we can each have mulitple positions to make it more silly and tinpot dictatorship-like):

(btw, I'm using the deck of Iraqi playing cards... yes, I have an original copy courtesy of my father... to do this)

1. President, Prime Minister, Chairman of the Party - Ace
2. Presidential Secretary - Ace
3. Special Security Chief - Ace
4. Vice-Chairman of the Party - King
5. Secretary of the Republican Guard & Special Republican Guard - Queen
6. Air Defense Forces Commander - Queen
7. Commander of the Special Republican Guard - Queen
8. Iraqi Armed Forces, Chief of Staff - Jack
9. Republican Guard, Chief of Staff - Jack
10. Iraqi Intelligence Service, Chief - Jack
11. Director of General Security - Jack
12. Air Force Commander - 10
13. Party Military Bureau Chairman - 10
14. Vice President - 10
15. Deputy Prime Minister - 10
16. Head of Tribal Affairs Office - 9
17. Deputy Head of Tribal Affairs Office - 9
18. Governor of (insert another region here) - 8
19. Finance Minister - 8
20. Minister of Defense - 8
21. Minister of the Interior - 7
22. Presidential Scientific Advisor - 7
23. Director of Military Intelligence - 7
24. Oil Minister - 6
25. Minister of Trade - 6
26. Party Regional Commanders 5-4
27. Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research - 4
28. more Party Regional Commanders 3-2

You'll note I left a number of redundant titles and other stuff out... here's how we might do it:

1. President, Prime Minister, Chairman of the Party
2. Presidential Secretary (VP-equivalent)
3. Special Security Chief
4. Vice-Chairman of the Party
5. Secretary of the Republican Guard & Special Republican Guard
6. Commander of the Special Republican Guard
7. Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces
8. Chief of Staff of the Republican Guard
9. Chief of the Intelligence Service
10. Party Military Bureau Chairman
11. Vice President
12. Deputy Prime Minister
13. Finance Minister
14. Defense Minister
15. Interior Minister
16. Presidential Scientific Advisor
17. Trade Minister
18+. (regional party chairmanships)

We can each hold as many positions as we please and even move around the rankings of the positions at the will of the President (I'd assume). Half the point is that the system is all confusing and the ranks don't match outside standards... so it's mostly just for show and confusing people (which is why moving around the ranks to not make sense may be interesting periodically). I love how the "Vice President" is half-way down the totem pole The actual VP-equivalent would be the Presidential Secretary.

That said, we at least need to figure out which one of US in what order handles the save. That's really the only official form of organization we need... the rest is more for show

Got spare money?

I think we should get a system for handling the save then allow anyone to take any title they want no matter how grandious (sp). Personally I'd like to take a few titles and will also be awarding myself some medals in the not too distant future for bravery amoung other things.

Support Apolyton, buy Civilization 2

I suppose OPD can be our "President" since he's the one doing most of the saves

Any objections?

As for others...

Aside from whatever else I might get, I'd like to do the city planning and production for the capital city. I didn't do too bad of a job for the RP Team in PTWDGI in that regard and it wouldn't be too bad to do it here.

As for other stuff, I figure we'll all give each other obscene numbers of titles and medals. It's the system

Cities should also be renamed on a regular basis, pariculary when we make contact and exchange maps. Imagine 'Baghdad' moving around the map from turn to turn....

I'd like to be Minister of Peace, Love and Understanding.

I'll also give myself a Ghandi medal for not killing anyone yet

Which, using a 1984 theme, would make you (in reality) our Minister of War, Death, and Hate.

For this theme, it works just fine
