	What do we research next? Help yourself to an AD-FREE life

Pottery is discovered next turn. There are 6 options and they are:

Iron Working
Masonry
Writing
The Wheel
Warrior Code
Mysticism

There is no abstain; this is too small of a team for you not to have an opinion so please post what you would like to see researched next and why!

Masonry. The pyramids is one of the better 'builder' wonders.

We already have Ceremonial Burial from the hut (thread). The poll should say Mysticism instead.

Masonry does provide a nice wonder, if we can complete it before anyone else does. At the moment I am not ready to think about wonders. The advantage of Writing is that no one else is likely to have it, so it will be good for trading, and it opens up lots of other research options. It also opens up trading communications, if we ever find two more civs.

My vote is for Writing.

[edit]Just an FYI, from Dejon's Game and Team Info thread here, 4 other teams began the game with Alphabet.

No one but ourselves had Bronze Working, I vote for Iron Working since we will no doubt be the first to get it and can hopefully whore it easily.

I see. With 3 other civs starting with Alphabet there is a good chance one of them is already researching Writing. Question is, will be find them to be able to trade with them? Iron Working is a farily typical starting research path but being the only one with BW we will have the edge. With those hills and mountains there is a good chance we have iron nearby, which will help boost our production.

OK, I change my vote from Writing to Iron Working.

We could go for an "odd" option; then trade this tech for Writing or IW when we find another civ.
