	Greetings old friends Support Apolyton or Terrorists Win

Hey everyone, it's been a long time eh? Hope you haven't forgotten about me! I thought I'd stop by and check in to see how my old team is doing, hopefully in early august I should be going into the real world Air Force and house set up (which inevitably means getting my computer going), so I'd love to get back into the swing of things here again....

can anyone give me an update on our situation, perhaps?

Shortly (5:30am here, have to sleep again): Vox sneak attacked us with 2 stacks of immortals along our undefended mountain ranges. We softened the stacks with catapults and killed them with medieval infantry, without losing a city. After this we shipped settlers and troops north (we have the Lighthouse and Sun Tzus), founded 2 cities (better: fortresses) there, effectively cutting their iron supply and reinforcement roads. It took a few more turns to take Elipolis (the city at the isthmus), after which Vox surrendered. They will leave the continent within the next few turns and settle at a peninsula near Lego. They gift us all their cities (we would've taken them anyway).

The whole war was accompanied by a big propaganda battle and mud slinging, where we did not look very good, because we to a certain amount neglected on diplomacy. Things have settled a bit now. As you see in the active threads, we are discussing several variants how to proceed. War on Bob (the big continent) is likely and we'll try to get our share of the prey.

Sir Ralph covered it pretty clearly I think. We've also built the Colossus in Hurricane. I think we plan to build our Forbidden Palace in Eliopolis (Former voxian city on the Isthmus).

We got phenomenal service from Nathan, Aeson and others in managing things... that saved our butts when Vox attacked. We went from weak vs almost everyone to strong in very short order. Of course, some few people still had to squawk and moan to get the focus on troops, troops, and more troops.

We got some phenomenal luck with promotions, and timing, which put us over the top. A GL rushed the Spartan College (Sun Tzu's). It was a wild 10 or 20 (?) turns. I wouldn't trade it for anything. A certain German of our aquaintance even called Theseus one morning at 4 am local time (for Theseus) to let him know of a momentus moment. It was really great fun.

Honestly, the war with Vox made one of the most exciting periods of the year for me. Oh, and the kill ratios were WONDERFUL!

Two updates that others have not mentioned: we've made lots of luxury swaps and we now have all the luxuries on Bob, which is enough to keep us with 0% on the happiness slider with all our huge cities.
We're also entering some sort of tech partnership with Lego.

Great to see you hop back Mesh...

Alot was going on lately, especially behind the scenes after the war with Vox ended.

The future looks bright- our diplomatic ties have strenthened (or so I believe) our economy is the strongest depite our space limitation and not so great land, and our mighty armies are the strongest in the world, waiting for some action to take place, probably in a dog-pile styled war against RP which was already organized by GoW and ND, and due to erupt on 10BC (2 turns from now).

Outstanding gentlemen! This is all good news to hear. Despite the unfortunate setbacks in my Carthaginian provinces, I am pleased with the results of our PTW game! Great job!

Currently I'm awaiting deployment to my main operational base, which will be, of all places, in South Dakota, US...(riiight.....). Regardless, I can't guarantee as much involvement as I had previously, but I still plan on dropping in every once in awhile. Perhaps sometime that situation will change and I may be able to become more active in things here, but regardless, it's good to at least be back on a computer!
