	City Names Enter the AD-FREE zone

OK - what are your ideas for city names?

We have seen vondrack's. I like Ne Voice, Irony and Panama Vox.

Harry has suggested rebirt themes - like Phoenix and New Hope.

And I - have no ideas at the moment. My creativity bio-rhythms are low.

I like The New Voice and Irony from Vondrack's ideas. I think Harry had a great idea for rebirth themes (Phoenix is a name I've always liked). How about "Renewal of The One"?

I guess cities named after me will have to wait until Beta's PBEM game.

Actually, the naming convention of our cities isn't really that important to me...but we can always stick with naming the cities after us - just place "New" before the names: ie, New Voice, New Rhothaerillburg, New Beta-by-the-Sea, New Wittlich City, New Harry's Hideout, New Elipolis, New Dissidentville, etc...

If there are any more suggestions please post to this thread. We have a couple of days to discuss and then we can either come to some consensus or use polls. We will settle three cities in the next turn. They are in the Poortown, Orlando, and Irony locations of Vondracks map. Irony is W of The New Voice next to iron mountain. Orlando is in the E next to the gold hill. Poortown is also in the E on a hill a few tiles above Orlando. Four more towns will be settled the turn after.

My vote would be not to name cities "New Whatever The Old Town Was" other than The New Voice. It just seems like it has a lack of imagination (no offense Witt ). The ones with references to GS and revenge are also a little much unless we want to tip our hand early that we're going back there someday.

I like Irony, Panama Vox, Renewal Of The One, New Hope, and Phoenix the most of the ones that are up there right now.

I also added three more to the end of Harry's list with a home/refuge theme.

I like Rhoth's suggestions. I would add Resurrection, and how about Memory. And the one near the horse - how about Seabiscuit.

I was also thinking we should rename our island.

West Estonia.

Voxtavia works very well!

I will draw up a new naming scheme for the cities and propose it here shortly.

But I think we clearly have a name for the island.

OK - here are my city name suggestions based on the above.

Continent (well, island maybe) name = Voxtavia

Anchorage = Hope

Houston = Phoenix

Halifax = Renewal

Poor Town = Resurrection

Orlando = Memory

New Orleans = Sea Biscuit

Irony = Irony

Panama Vox = Panama Vox

and ....

Guadalahara = VFC.
