What to research next? Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations: Deluxe Edition

What should our next research goal be? We have Pottery, Masonry, Alphabet, and soon Bronze Working. The Izzards have Ceremonial Burial so we may be able to trade for that.

Also we can discuss what tech tree we are aiming for in the ancient age.

I suggest iron working. A source of iron will be critical in the long run for this game.

I'm in favor for Iron Working. Look what wonderfull Swords it can make. Even if we don't need it now it's always good to know where it is.

I thought writing might be important, but I'm probably wrong. noone seems to agree anyway. I'd like libraries and stuff, but I guess putting people to the sword is just as effective.

IW or Wheel. Writing can be researched by way of the pointy stick. (That, or just trade IW and/or Wheel to get it.)

okay. just 1 out of topic question, why do the screenshots look so different from what I see on my computer? the tundra and irrigation is different... why?

Terrain sets. Octavian apparently uses the Sn00py terrain mod, and I'm guessing you're using the default terrain...

Don't worry, you're not the first. And you appear to be a bit more comprehending than the first guy to make that mistake.
