GNN - 2124
In this exclusive GNN footage, we see GEF 1 and 2 expanding the frontiers of Gaian knowledge. Forces have reached one of the great oceans that we saw on our descent.
Political officers speculate that if members of any of the other Unity factions survived, they will be across one of the great oceans.

GNN - 2125
"Our survival", Lord Chip observed, "depends upon our ability to maintain a delicate balance between growth and sensitivity to our environment. Our new colony pod helps ensure the preservation of our species, but we must not concentrate our population in a single sector so that humans overwhelm the beauty of the native planet life."

GNN - 2126
GEF-2 reports that it located something that appears to be manufactured or constructed. Gaian xeno-engineers and xeno-scientists are absolutely baffled as to its origin, composition, and purpose.
The absence of hard facts has done nothing, however, to stop what Lady Deirdre Skye called "irresponsible speculation". All agree that the construction is beyond the capability of the mind worms. Is--or was--there other life on Chiron? Is--or was--that life native or extra-planetary? And in any case, will it be back?
In an unrelated move, Lord Chip has ordered sensors installed at the borders of Gaian territory.

Looks like Lal has encoutered some difficulties. Anyone willing to guess when anyone can compete against him for governorship?

Mommy, why is it that the news programs show nothing but big yellow boxes smashing big rocks into smaller rocks?

I was wondering about what happened to Lal, too. Loss of an undefended base to mindworms, perhaps.

2128 to Rubinites. The game is entering the first fun stage.
Btw, when I lost a colony I didn't have a dip like that. Maybe I grew in other areas that negated the dip, though.

Mommy, why is it that all the news programs continue to show big yellow boxes--oh yes, you called them terraformers--smashing big rocks into little rocks.

Turn to HongHu
[It must be nice to have landed in something other than a rocky arid area. Given that I'm Gaian, even fungus would have been nice.]

I kinda like starting in Monolith heaven. I think I have 12 of them so far in my territory (the Ruins included).

Turn to Rubin.
It was only 10. I counted one twice and imagined one. Oh well, nobody's perfect.
