Anyway it is always good to stay ahead of this stuff, most of us have it or have had it from time to time. I am sure this has been posted before? So look at this as an update if it has, or a heads up. I say that because new spyware and malware is on the increase.

Another good site can be found here.

This site drops some basics like the netstat command for dos. This allows you to see active connections and with very simple instructions what to look for.

I am not against advertising they have a right to do that. I am against theft of my machine resources and in worse case senarios the crashing of my machine.

I would like to see a lawsuit at some point in my lifetime, where someone successfully gets reimbursed cash for the time and effort of reloading thier OS and loss of information due to an unwanted program crashing it... Read spyware, malware here....

Imagine the fuss if this was done on your cable tv....Suddenly your picture is fuzzy then poof your offline... Then you pay the "cable guy" to come fix it...

I am also against "personal information theft" and the "sale of that information" without my consent and or profit....

Well, skin mites probably live on my body hair and clothes, eating my dead skin. There are colonies of bacteria on my skin and in my intestines. I probably have a few species of virus wandering around my bloodstream. My cells were ruthlessly colonised by mitochondria who use them as safe-havens but that's more of a symbosis. My DNA has the genetic legacy of the last million years of infection by retroviruses and plays host to a whole sorted arrangement of parasitic genetic and protein fragments.

So yes, I guess I do have parasites.

I think the script is still their... I have been plagued with Xupiter! oh no!

Don't know what it is, but as I am at work I don't have access to my whatchycallit.exe file so I can't remove it... However, I was messing around with it's files and deleted somethings and pretty much gave it a good stir, then I hit it on the head with a hammer, and I haven't had any of the usual annoyances with it that I usually do... Not really sure what I did, but that whole directory looks like a real mess now.

My home computer is spotless, needless to say.

As for me, personally, I have a tapeworm, but it is a pet, and keeps my weight down, so I think I will keep it...

Common Name, Cydoor, Gator, and ~2.exe (porn Dialer) are all found. But all have so far been replaced with harmless dummies that dont bother me and yet i continue to use services adware dependant.
