	Linux Servers Switch to Windows 2003 Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations

Just found it interesting and thought I'd share it with people like Cloud9 and Urban Ranger who would have you believe Linux is on its way to taking over the world.

I know that the development costs for an individual to develop for Linux are virtually nil because gcc and emacs are both free and so are most of the development libraries. I don't know how much it would cost a company though.

I am sick and tired of some people's sense of humor on Apolyton these days. All they do is at putting anything or anyone down. That is soooo childish! I think even Ming would agree with me.

the gui is much cleaner and simpler in 2003 than it was in 2000.

and we're having a great time porting our nds structure into active directories.

the only thing is, we're unhappy with the media situation.

we ordered it two and a half weeks ago. we're an elementary school, and ordered 7 copies of server 2003 enterprise.
we still have not received the licenses or the media... so right now we're starting to make the changeover using the evaluation versions, because we simply can't wait any longer...since school starts mid-august.

in the end, the best servers for uptime are bsd, while for ease of use, it's win2k3.

though win2k3 has improved tremendously in stability

depending on the app i'd take a windows server over linux
