Idea stolen from SuperSneak from another forum. He posted it while Poly was down there and doesn't have time to post it here, but I found it interesting and would like to have more responses on it.

I admit that, there was a guy on my ship in the Navy, that I thought would have been a good looking woman.

Turns out, during the crossing the line ceremony, he was his divisiond entry in the "Wog Queen" contest. He didn't pull it off very well.

Well, I figure with my luck, he'll be gay and/or already married/engaged. I'm pretty sure he's already hitched.

So he's a safe nonman theoretical mancrush by nonlesbian female.

But in RL, he doesn't exist, because he's an actor playing fictional characters who also don't exist, and he's a 2-dimensional projection of someone's overblown ego. THAT'S my theory for why true love does NOT exist.
