Okay, I typed this once, then the dang forum decided to make me log in again, thus deleting my 30 minutes of work. Here it is again, quick and dirty, the heck with anything else
I'm new here, but I just encountered what I presume to be a bug in the game (PTW, 1.21F)
I created a random map for the game, based on a set of rules modifications (none of which are relevant to the victory conditions). The major modifications were to map size (220x220), thus optimum city number and tech rate were adjusted accordingly (to my calculations). Victory conditions were Space Race, Diplomacy, Domination, Conquest, Mass-Regicide. I left them the same as a previous game...Capture Princess was off...so was anything that might end the game quickly, like lose one city, or whatever that is.
Out of 15 empires, nine major players remain when the victory condition is met. Domination. I've attached a screenshot of the world map. Clearly, none of the remaining empires control 70% of the world's land area. In terms of population, I don't see that, either. I'm 4th in terms of population. I was probably second on discovering Sanitation, and implemented it ASAP...Out of nine major empires remaining, I don't see how one could dominate the others 70-30%. I have no idea who exactly is the most populous nation, and no clue who actually won the game. I mean, WTF? Why didn't it tell me "You've suffered an embarrassing Domination defeat, by ----------". I wouldn't be that lucky to know who defeated me.
At any rate, is this a known bug?
Thanks in advance.
Here's the map:

that's odd. I don't think it is a known bug but you may want to check with infogrames support and at least report it.

I'm thinking it was just a random error in the game. I went back and tried doing something different, like changing governments on the last turn. Nothing seemed to affect the outcome.
I guess I'm just going to drop this game, pitch it out. If this happens again, yes, I'll come back. I'll attach a save and be much more thorough.
I did go try looking up support, but I didn't find much...
Thanks all!

Panag,
If you read those "help" sites, then you would know that they don't have any support past general installation issues. Nowhere on those pages do they discuss known bugs. I've been through them before...when I had trouble installing Play the World. However, that issue is in the past, resolved, and Play the World has worked nicely for me since then. (Up until this error, that is.)
I will endeavour to attach a save game in the next day or two. However, I'm moving in a week; quite obviously, my life is getting hectic at this point.

Here's a similar problem (see attached save). One turn after I open and continue this game, I suffer a Domination defeat.
The first strange thing is, I turned off Domination victories, 'cuz I hate 'em - so a Domination victory shouldn't be possible at all in this game.
Second strange thing - if you look at my score right after opening the game, you'll see I'm comfortably ahead of Japan. The next turn, Japan suddenly shoots up to 2500 points or so, and I lose.
I'm playing with the 1.21f patch installed, fwiw.
Help?

I did read through them. Quite thoroughly, repeatedly, and for a different problem. Don't go tell me what I did and didn't do. Those FAQs leave my problem at, "E-Mail Firaxis".
I'm sorry the game didn't get attached, but that's just life. I moved to another city, and that game is just a casualty. Not only do I not have the game anymore, I don't have Internet at my house. I'm using the local library, and my time is limited. Sorry.
Naturally, I'm alert for this possible bug in the future. If I run into it again (hopefully not ), then I'll post the save game here.
