	Would straights kissing at a gay bar gross out gays? Put an end to popups!

Last night I went to a gay bar with a psuedo/friend date with this girl, we're both straight, but her sister is a lesbian and she invited us to go with her. They had a drag show going on, which was a different cultural experience for me, but it was still pretty fun. I'm completely secure in my sexuality so it didn't bother me, and it was different than what I expected. Anyways so if we had of started making out would the gays have been like, "ewwww straight people!" It was just a funny thought that hit me, and I'm just curious about your responces.

Lol, I doubt it. However, I went to a gay club in Brighton last year and my friend's sister was told off for gettin' in on with her boyfriend.

Nobody would really care. Frankly, I don't care to see anyone sucking face in a bar. If you want to do that, go home and free up space so we who are there to drink and laugh and talk can do so more comfortably.

I was out at a straight bar last weekend and there was this ugly couple snogging away. We were ALL grossed out, gay and straight.

The fact they were unattractive isn't why I didn't care to see it (Although it wasn't that they were just unattractive, they were really homely. Do you not find any people physically ugly? Sure...). On top of that, their behavor made them even less attractive. Two gorgeous folks making out in public like that isn't attractive, either.

Considering the number of times I've seen people here falling over themselves to make fun of women they find ugly, I don't think this is indicative of any snobbishness on my part.

And I only call people stupid who show themselves to be stupid. Stupid.

I tend to avoid gay bars, largely because they're mostly expensive, cheesy dives. I don't mind Zoobar off Leicester Square though, which is just expensive.

I only get pissed off if they don't share. I mean, if you're going to talk or pass notes in class, you should have to share with the rest of the class, right?

I think that most people don't mind people ( gay or straight) kissing a little, but when it moves from what looks like affection, to what looks like foreplay, then IMHO its inappropriate.

EIF - you've hit upon the reason I rarely go to gay bars. I don't like pulling in bars/clubs anyway, so what's the point in paying twice as much for drinks?

I never have gone to gay bars. And besides... bars I do go to are bars/restaurants.. there was this good one in Buenos Aires that served up a great pizza and its own brewed beer. Awesome stuff...

I went to a gay club once when I was in college where I saw a very fat man with a beard dress up like a woman and then sing "I'm every woman".

S/he actually sang fairly well.

Not most of them. I go to straight bars all the time. For one thing, they tend to be a lot more laid back and fun than gay bars, where often the cruising atmosphere is stifling.
