Ok I have a problem that I have not be able to fix.....I keep on getting text errors when playing people in multiplayer. I have downloaded the 1.3 update....everything I've done I've done a bunch of times but never have I ran into this before. I have searched micropose for a tech support email and have recieved nothing from them also I have tried calling them and I don't have a hour to wait on the phone for them to tell me they don't know what to do.....I know alot of you guys out there are good at the 'puter and I'm asking you if any of you help me or at least direct me to someone that can help me..my icq # is 84324908.......HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!.....

Ok here is a little more info on my problem...When I'm playing in the multilplayer option the error reads as (AI [error-labels.txt])....basically what happens is if I'm playing someone else, who is hosting, all of my tribe names, tech advances, and so on is all screwed up....it's like playing one of the secenrios where you don't know what the hell it means but it turns out to be something normal.....I can't guess....now if I'm hosting the game it is all screwed up for the other players.....come on I know one of you can help me out here.......

Maybe u need to just install the patch or game again, or u might have the wrong patch

I've used the patch from the micropose site......has anyone else ran into this problem before from there? I have also installed and uninstalled the game a bunch of times and still with the same problem.....if there is another site to get the patch from someone post it for me....

It happened to me too once or twice, i dunno why, but at the beggining of the game i could see in cities i can build interceprots and tanks or sth like that and mpg plant. I could only discover advanced tech like atomic, stealth, etc. It turned out that just the names were screwed up, when i built tank it turned out that in fact i build 10 shield warrior and plane was settler. Plant name was there for barracks. And when i discovered the stealth i could build factory, that actually had 40 shields and represented a temple ( so i discovered ceremonial with the screwed up name and units ).I have somewhere the sites for the patch i used it, but i cant find it right now, will post it later, good luck.

Thanks, that is exactly what it's doing to me......I used to have another site address also but I've had to recently reformat my machine and I've lost it.....I'm glad at least someone else has had the same problem as me.....I guess I'll just wait untill you or someone else post an address for me......

Yeah and sth else: I dont think that installing the nev patch will help. I think ( but i am not sure) mess up came after i was experimenting with rules.txt files of the original civ replacing and editing it with the one of the scenario. ( i dont remember which now ) I placed the original rules.txt back and things are working ok since .
So the question can be: Have u been messing wirh rules.txt file lately, hehe?????

Nope I never mess with that stuff....crap I can't even figure this out...but alas I have found a patch that works and I'm off to play!!!!!
