Hi civ2 leaguers. There is one thing that is bothering me, and I would like to share it with u. And that thing is, that noone seems to play league anymore!? Since I dont have the time to play much any more, I play like 1 game per two or three weeks, and it looks like I am still among the people that play the most!!! ( Beside Greeks xora and asteio)
So the question is, why noone wants to play anymore? Are u all satisfied with the ranking u have??? Or noone have the time to play any more?? Or have u all lost the interest in the game??
Tell me, whats the reason the league is going down? I dont think the CF or Markus"s ladder got much more going on. But its really sad to see so much ladders ( I can think of 4 now) that want to control this tiny community of civ2 players.
The reason I think is simple, people have lost the interest to play the game cos its outdated in comparison to other games, admit it or not, this tiny community of 10 or 20 people that played civ2 for league is the last remain of the support for the game it used to be called the best of all times. Noone should be blamed for that personally and if someone of u ask me next time to play a league game dont be angry or insulted if my answer is: I am just not interested any more. One game per three weeks is enough for me. And i think i am not the only one. that proves that civ2 is a dying game, and league for civ2 is just the middle step to civ3 league about to come.
So its really time for sth new, If i am correct this game has been out since 1996 !!!, No other game has lived so long, more than 5 years!! Congrats to microprose,
BUT! Its time for Civ3 to come out!
I think u dont mind i was so long, people have also lost interest for writting the post about civ2, so finally sth to read  )
