	Spanish loses Help yourself to an AD-FREE life

As of the start of 10 B.C.:

- ND has finally attacked.

- We have lost Leon.

- We traded Santiago into GS custody for its protection, but the infadel NDers attacked and raided the city, declaring war on GS as well!

- Did we lose any troops in the battles?

Who are the lords for Santiago and Leon? Who was the lord for Bilbao? Someone MUST have relatives involved and can write about it.

As for next turn, we'll see about that... none of my relatives were in the battle, but I'll have plenty to write about soon enough I figure

My family runs weapon shops in each major town of Spain (> size 3). Knowing what was coming, my relatives in Santiago fled with the garrison to Zaragoza, while those in Leon fled to Pamplona.

I am the Duke for Leon and Salamanca, but since my duties keep me travelling Spain, I have always run them remotely. I sent instructions for those maintaining my house in Leon to evacuate to Pamplona as well.

The reason I sent the warnings and notices that I did, to select families (not just my own, btw), is this: Only those with short tempers and those who might become symbolic targets for Arabian agression need to be evacuated - for their own good. The rest of the populace is safe enough under Arabian occupation, for the time being. We have known for hundreds of years that they wanted to rule this area - there is little chance of them killing innocents or razing cities.

So spice it up. Your Leon and Santiago families barely made it away from the Neu Demogyptican hordes. They had to crawl through bushes of pricky thorns for miles. The slightest breath from them would have set off the alarm and got them drawn and quartered by the enemy.

We have an insane number of units in this country and very few nobles...

If a prominent member of one of the great noble houses happens to be in the unit, it should be assumed that he's the commander of said unit

That said, units are commanded in STACKS and the stack commander might obviously be someone else.

Spanish losses will expand in a short time. China will certainly start to raze some cities in a short time from Egypt unless our allies get their troops over in time (I doubt it). This means that Bilbao and Toledo are definitely about to be burned.

I'm in the middle of a move in RL, but I'm going to try to compile a list of units that were killed in the assault on Zaragosa so that appropriate individuals can make posts in the public forum.

As for me, I know the Clemente household lost sons in that battle. I need to compose something, but right now is pretty hectic in RL.

LzPrst, Always copy your long posts and paste them on microsoft word before pressing submit. If they are large, you can even save them before pressing submit.It may sound exagerated but it is far better than loosing hundreds and hundreds of lines

Write your stories in Notepad and save them regularly if they're going to be long, then copy/paste them over to Apolyton.

(I think NucWin said more or less the same thing )
