my very extensives comments....
BEST SCENARIO
Alba de America + WW2 in europe...
both well done and good scenarios but hardly the best. I don't think they deserve the award.
Arab Conquests...
I don't know which one this is. I'm not sure if I've ever played it
Mongol+Gangster
HELL YES! I agree with these two!
BEST HISTORICAL SCENARIO
All but Mongol
No, they weren't that good! C'mon people!
Mongol
HELL YES!
MOST CHALLENGING SCENARIO
Alien
What was so challenging about this? You got the TIGERS and stomped everyone!
Lord of the Rings and Moscow
Definitely. I agree 1000%
Mission Impossible
Never played it.
MOST INNOVATIVE SCENARIO
not many nominees eh?? the apolyton Age of Piracy wouldn't even work on my computer so...well no. I guess I vote Gangster on this one.
MAPs
I think the best maps are the custom drawn for specific scenario map with specail unique terrains so I won't vote on any maps.
BEST MODPACK
only one nomination? but it didn't work right so I won't vote.
BEST WEBSITE
Apolytong is becoming a load of garbage (nothin personal) I mean they don't update the links or scenarios or mods or maps ever. C'mon! The only good thing is the forums. So I don't vote for apolyton. Allard and Andrews is not so hot once mergin with apolyton. Jesus Balisindes is on geocities so it is only the good will of god that I can even see it. Therefore I vote for Mikes Civ2 Scenarios Page! Rock on homie!
MOST INFORMATIVE SITE
Allard and Andrews! No doubt about it! Stuff like special cheats (y and CTRL SHIFT F8) are very helpful. Allard and Andrews is da bomb!
MOST INNOVATIVE WEBSITE
Scenario League.
CIV'ER OF THE YEAR
Hey, I nominated CAm, why isn't he on the list? Anyway I will vote for cam even if he isn't on list. I mean c'mon look on the forums hes always the one helping people in need of it! He's the best reviewer for Sleague and the Guild. And he made a kick ass scenario. hands down, cam all the way!
BEST SCENARIO DESIGNER
Harlan Thompson.
(anything I didn't comment on means that either there were no nominees or I didn't really support anyone in that category)

i agree, alex the magnifient all the way!
apolyton...
okay in last month and a half there were thirteen updates, 6 were columns, only one of which I read. Three were updating your "database" which still doesn't have half the scenarios your old list did. One was just brining in the old list from and old site. C'MON! new screenshots, don't think i noticed that..what were they? viking scribes, okay good job. small update to tournament page. most people don't play tournament games.
and finally the one actual update
january 1st...updated links.
sorry markos i mean I love apolyton and i realize that there isn't much to work with now that all the civ games are released. wait a minut they aren't...so maybe you could work with some TOT stuff...specifically find out if tehre are more events thingys in it! that would be awesome! Also I really don't think you pay enought attention to new scenarios. Maybe apolyton could do something like "scenario watch" where people pick the best new scenarios off the net and carp.
Oftenly?

sorry I post twice, forgot about this part...
I change my mind, until Mikes Civ II Scenarios is updated more often, I guess. Now I am saying Either Mikes or Jesus site.
Hey, my site did more updates! My site is a secret site that no one knows about beacuse you haven't put my link up here yet!

for future reference apolyton is the god of civ 2 sites. But you should have better scenarios.

I need to be more active as a seacher? Most of the stuff I nominated wasn't even posted. go find mods you damn self
I agree completely about Arab Conquests, I ralize that it doesn't matter which one we are talking about, none of them qualifty as best anything.
you lost space? how long is it until you move? if its more than a month I would try to tone down the page you ahve and put more stuff up there. I mean like if you have any of the bestonnet scenarios actually on your site take them off and give alternate links. If not than forget it.

I have to say that I disagree with you ALL.
Best scenario:
Lord of the Rings by Harlan Thompson- THE BOMB!! Totally accurate to the books, tons of cool units and events...very hard...the best!!
Dungeon by Blackclove- Awesome events, totally different than a regular Civ2-like game...very, very creative.
Danubian Empire by Michael Jeszenka- Also tons of cool events, units, and very, very playable.
Pope Patrick by Mrtemba- I know you're all thinkig I'm an idiot...but I don't care! As I've said before, it's the best modern war scenario.
Best scenario creator:
Harlan Thompson
Michael Jeszenka
Alex the Magnificent
Allard Hofelt
Jesus Balsinde
Best Website:
Alex the Magnificent's War Gallery
A and A's site
Michael Jezenka's site
Apolyton Site
Most challenging scenario:
Dagor Bragollach
Lord of the Rings
Moscow

Reismark,
Do not you find a bit odd to include among the nominees a scenario that nobody but its author has seen? I am referring to MJ's WWII scenario. I do not deny it will be good (most likely it will), but if it has not been released yet, under which criteria has it been nominated???

mj just in case you are wondering the guild arab conquests sceanrio isn't mine, its by some juggalo named solymr. I never made an arab conquest scenario.
tirin have you tried the new version? or is that what you are talking about? anyway thanks but I don't think it belongs up there with Lord of the Rings.
which brings me to another points, surely I wasn't the only one who nominated Lord of the Rings (thanks for reminding me). Did I get "outvoted" here too?
If this is the way the public thinks then my opinion of HAC awards is sort of, um,, well...
about mikes ww2 scenario.
It is good, the best ww2 scenario on the net. But sadly, its still a ww2 scenario. SSSIIIIGGHHHH.....(turns take YEEEAAARSSSS)

Reismark,
Exactly my point. If nobody has played it YET, why is it nominated? Only on the basis of your own playtesting? You dismissed some of MrTemba's proposals due to insufficient quorum... Moreover, there are dozens of scenarios out there that "certainly fit the criteria"

thanks bendettti,
reismark they obviously won't have a fair shot if i'm the only one (or if three or four people I guess) nominate it. They won't have a chance at all.
