I showed up about 15 minutes late. The ministers had been there an hour and 15 minutes by then (timezone conversion error) and donegeal, next in the chain of command, played the first turn.
We played about 3 turns in total. Nothing exciting at first, except that mapwhoring is awesome now; at least 200 gold when it's done every other turn. That's +100 gpt!
Things heated up with our declaration of war on the Iroquois in 370 BC; our stacks moved to attack Iroquois cities on the same turn. Then, Germany signed an alliance with the Celts against us! A stack of 2 spears and 2 warriors is at the foot of our mountain stronghold. This will need to be dealt with at the start of next chat.
In 350 BC, we took St. Regis, Allegheny, and Centralia. We also made an ill-advised swipe at a warrior, losing Beta the Archer.  (I'm sure the gods will ressurect him in time for the election, don't worry... the wise men I consulted estimate his return in two to four days time, depending on how hard it is to temporarily tear himself away from Valhalla.)
