Scenario Design Contest #2 - Earth 3000

Support Apolyton, buy GURPS/ Alpha Centauri

Ladies and gentlemen, the second Scenario Design Contest is now underway! You can find all of the information on the Contest on the SDC subsite of Hodadian Award Central. Simply go to HAC at http://hac.apolyton.net and click the SDC link to get started.

The contest theme is Earth 3000 - a surprising departure from the historical theme used last time. Blackclove and I are hoping that we get a considerable amount more of submissions due to the extended time frame and popularity of the chosen subject.

Support the SDC by submitting an original scenario. We request that any questions concerning the SDC be directed to this forum, and NOT the Scenario League forum. Thank you for your support and cooperation.

Browse Apolyton AD-FREE

The map is a bit standart, isn't it. The only main difference is "Atlantis", besides this everything is roughly the same. Also, only half of Scandinavia is on the map.

Sorry - I didn't express myself well - I was aware that Mike did the map in light of his HAC success.

People intending to submit an entry for the Earth 3000 contest are welcome to e-mail me from now until early-August for a codename, although now we're up and running, it would be good to stick your hands up sooner rather than later so the organisers have a feel for the likely level of involvement.

Yeah, it's not the greatest map. I did it kind of quickly 'cause I figured it was needed fast. It was a world map I had lying around for a while that never looked quite right -- especially when I took away the tundra. Anyway, Reismark and I kicked some ideas around for the big changes.

California hurt by earthquakes
New land along the Mid-Atlantic ridge
Deforestation and desertification
and my favorite - Central Asian rivers diverted with nuclear explosions in a failed attempt to irrigate the steppes.

Oh yeah, my original intent was to widen the Pacific Ocean.
