"We" have received a request from several contestants recently for an extension of time for the Scenario Design Contest and the 'committee' has agreed in the pursuit of allowing entrants to produce better scenarios, that the submission date should be pushed back about a month (to the 1st of September).
Before this is cemented in the rules, does anyone object?

Why the extension?
Surely the whole point is that you have to make it in a certain period of time.
We've had months to make them, surely these 'contestants' shouldn't have favourable treatment just cos they started late.
You don't get A-Level exams pushed back if you moan to a teacher that you only got up off your arse and started revising the night before

we've all been busy. We all have other things to do, but I'm not complaining, I agree with Zulu Elephant that the ability to deliver on a deadline is part of the challenge. I think keeping it where it is is a better idea.
Maybe I could ***** and moan a lot and then I could get more sounds space.....

well thanks for responding even though you don't have the offical word, I appreciate it. My understand of the tiem restraints however is that people have entered the contest and then complained they don't have enough time. I say "C'mon already!" You don't enter a race and then start a few minutes after the rest of the people have started and then beg the umpire to take some time off your final time. The deadline is part of the challenge! Keep it where it is!
I wait for the word from god.....
